Generic pixel graphics (again, subjective, but I hate the generic pixel BS every indie developer does to cut down on work, because why bother spending time making things look good when you can just make uninspiring pixel art, right?)

Annoying room layouts and enemies added by Afterbirth+ (you can use mods to take those out though) Too easy, even a The Lost run is easier than a Blue Baby run on the original Isaac imho Power creep (ridiculously easy to get a OP build and just 1 shot everything) Less atmospherical and moody than the original + Runs better (but still lags when you kill It Lives because.?) + Mods and console commands so you can do custom challenges and play around with it without using cheat engine Rebirth was released for Linux, Microsoft Windows, OS X, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in November 2014, for Xbox One, New Nintendo 3DS and Wii U in July 2015, for iOS in January 2017 and for Nintendo Switch in March 2017. + More items, achievements, more floors and bosses, just overall, more stuff to do and unlock The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is an indie roguelike video game designed by Edmund McMillen and developed and published by Nicalis. Eternal Edition killed mods for it, making all of them outdated, so RIP cheat engine to do custom challenges Less items so arguably less replayability Runs extremely choppy because of flash and you won't ever get more than ~20 fps

The code has not been optimized at all, but is very simple and seems to run well enough on Chrome, Firefox, and IE. All game data lives in the linked JSON files, and was scraped from the wiki (see isaacWikiScrape.js for details). Written in pure javascript and HTML, no frameworks. Results are linked to the wiki.Ĭurrently, the wiki items and images are scraped in a semi-manual process, see scraper.js for details. Just start typing something descriptive, like "syringe", "gross blood", or "blue fly", etc, to narrow down the item. This is a tool to help identify that item that just dropped in your Binding of Isaac run.
